Duties

We have a duties board that tells us who has to do our class duties. We have turns. Some duties we do are: Go Green (pick up rubbish), messages, art, etc

Maori Language

We learn to say words in a different language. Wehave learnt Huri Mai (Turn this way), Etu (stand up) and many other words.

Special Places

Our home is special. We have added some special places to our school map. For example the field, fitness course and playground.

Class Photos

We had our class photos today. We had to line up tallest to shortest. We went over to the library. We had our class photo taken. We had to say smelly sock and elephants underwear.

We wrote about what we like at school, for breakfast and our favourite pet. We also did a picture of our family.

News Update from Room 18


We are learning to take pride in our local community (Taradale) and wider communities. We have a Special Places display with our brainstorm on it.


We had a mufti day at our school to raise money to hel children with autism. We wore clothes with lots of colours. This is a colourful jersey.







We are learning to write sentences.
